The Roborebels’ mission is to cultivate interest, understanding, and skill in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and business. We seek to encourage creativity of thought, perseverance in the face of obstacles, and cooperation and compromise as individuals who are part of a team. We seek to develop life skills in students through team membership, critical thinking, and unique experiences. We operate like a small business and encourage full participation of all students in every aspect of the team.

Our History

The Roborebels are part of the FRC program run through FIRST. We were founded at St. Louis Priory School in 2004 as a small club of less than ten student members.  Despite an unsuccessful first few years, interest in the team grew, not only within Priory, but from many other area schools as well.

In 2010, leadership of the Roborebels was passed on from its original faculty founder to Mr. Derek Ward, under whose first year of leadership the team made finals at the St. Louis Regional for the first time.  We have since gone on to win multiple awards and have seen continued success at the regional competition. Today, our team has grown enormously, with over 70 student members from Priory and Visitation Academy in St. Louis.
